Chiefs Kick Off 15th Training Camp at Missouri Western in St. Joe

The Kansas City Chiefs officially kicked off their 15th training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph on Tuesday. Head coach Andy Reid said it felt good to be back, while quarterback Patrick Mahomes acknowledged the camp’s intensity and stressed the importance of everyone getting “on the same page.”

Mahomes hit the field with familiar faces like Travis Kelce, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Rashee Rice, making key connections during drills. Meanwhile, the team secured deals with defensive end George Karlaftis—who expressed his desire to stay in Kansas City—and guard Trey Smith, who said it’s an “honorto have the franchise’s trust.

While most of the roster was present, three players—Jawaan Taylor, Kristian Fulton, and Tre Watson—began camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Season ticket holders attended the opening practice, with camp opening to the public on Wednesday,.
