Kansas City Current Breaks Ground On $52 Million Riverside Expansion
The Kansas City Current has officially broken ground on a major expansion in Riverside, Missouri, marking a $52 million investment in women’s soccer and community development. The project includes Riverside Stadium, a 2,000-seat venue with a heated FIFA-certified pitch; a cutting-edge Performance Center focused on year-round athlete training and recovery; and four new grass fields, expanding the club’s training campus to 12 pitches.
These new facilities are set to open by the end of 2025 and will serve everyone from youth players to professionals. Chiefs Kick Off 15th Training Camp at Missouri Western in St. Joe
The Kansas City Chiefs officially kicked off their 15th training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph on Tuesday. Head coach Andy Reid said it felt good to be back, while quarterback Patrick Mahomes acknowledged the camp’s intensity and stressed the importance of everyone getting “on the same page.”
Mahomes hit the field with familiar faces like Travis Kelce,JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Rashee Rice, making key connections during drills. Meanwhile, the team secured deals with defensive end George Karlaftis—who expressed his desire to stay in Kansas City—and guard Trey Smith, who said it’s an “honor” to have the franchise’s trust.
While most of the roster was present, three players—Jawaan Taylor, Kristian Fulton, and Tre Watson—began camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Season ticket holders attended the opening practice, with camp opening to the public on Wednesday,.
This Development Will Change KC’s South Loop FOREVER
Kansas City's South Loop has divided downtown for decades, but the $200 million Roy Blunt Luminary Park will change that. This ambitious project caps four blocks of I-670 with an urban park, reconnecting the Crossroads and Power & Light districts.
Welcome to 601 E 81st Terrace — a move-in ready 3-bedroom, 3-bath ranch that blends classic character with thoughtful updates. Priced at $299,000, this home sits on a spacious corner lot with a new privacy fence and native grass garden for added curb appeal.
