Chiefs Hold Strong in Power Rankings
After Tough Super Bowl Loss

Despite a tough Super Bowl loss to the Eagles that saw Patrick Mahomes under constant pressure, the Kansas City Chiefs remain near the top in post-draft power rankings—coming in at No. 2 on Bleacher Report and No. 3 on NFL.com.

This offseason, the team focused on rebuilding the offensive line. They traded away Joe Thuney and used their first-round pick (No. 32 overall) to draft Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons. While Simmons’ health is still a concern, analysts believe he has first-round talent if fully recovered.

Mahomes says the loss is fueling his offseason workouts, and the Chiefs continued to build through the draft, adding depth at wide receiver and on defense. Picks like Christen Miller and Jalen Royals are already drawing attention.

While questions remain—especially at left guard and among the wide receiver group—analysts agree the Chiefs have done enough to stay ahead in the AFC race, keeping their Super Bowl window wide open.
